How do I get a private car from Changi Airport?
Short answer: There are four ways to get a private car from Changi Airport: the airport's 24-hour Ground Transport Concierge (Changi lists S$70 for a 4-seater and S$75 for a 6-seater), a ride-hailing app such as Grab, a metered taxi, or a chauffeur you book before you fly. Pre-booking fixes the fare in advance; with us, Changi pickups start from S$100 per vehicle.

Changi's Ground Transport Concierge
The Ground Transport Concierge is Changi Airport’s own 24-hour transfer desk in the arrival hall of each terminal. Changi lists these fares:
- 4-seater: S$70 per trip to any destination in Singapore (one drop-off)
- 6-seater: S$75 per trip (one drop-off)
- Sembawang Shipyard, Jurong Island and Changi Airfreight Centre: S$30 extra
- Tuas Mega shipyard / PSA Tuas port: S$75 extra

Changi suggests booking at least 24 hours ahead if you have specific needs or a large group, and says wheelchair-accessible vehicles can be arranged on request.
Where private cars pick up
Private cars, including pre-booked chauffeurs, use the Arrival Pick-up points: Basement 1, doors 1 to 12 at T1 (and Jewel); Level 1, doors 2 to 7 at T2; Basement 1, doors 1 to 5 at T3; and Level 1, doors 1 to 3 at T4, where ride-hailing cars use doors 4 to 8. Cars may not wait at the kerb, so a meet-and-greet chauffeur meets you in the arrival hall first and walks you down. Step-by-step directions are in our Changi terminal guide.
When a pre-booked private car is worth it
For one or two people with light luggage, the concierge or a taxi is usually cheaper than a pre-booked chauffeur. Booking ahead makes sense when:
- You want the fare fixed and paid before you fly, with nothing to settle on arrival.
- You want someone waiting in the arrival hall: the chauffeur tracks your flight and the first 60 minutes after the actual landing are free.
- You need a particular vehicle: a 13-seater for up to 13 people, an Alphard for a family with luggage, or an S-Class for a VIP.
- You travel with young children: child seats are S$25 each and are added when you book, so the right seat is fitted (see child seats).
- You land late: our midnight surcharge (11pm–7am) is a flat S$15, added to the online total; see late-night transfers.
What a pre-booked private car costs with us
Fares are per vehicle, not per person, and ERP and parking are included. You pay online in advance by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayNow, Alipay or WeChat Pay; drivers never collect payment. Book at least 3 days before your pickup date. If you are landing sooner than that, use the concierge, a taxi or an app.

Going on to Johor Bahru?
Changi Airport notes that only licensed cross-border taxis (Singapore taxis and Malaysian taxis with an ASEAN Public Service Vehicle Permit) may carry passengers between Singapore and Malaysia; they are hired at Ban San Street Terminal or booked through licensed Singapore taxi operators. How much is the Changi Ground Transport Concierge?
Changi Airport lists S$70 for a 4-seater and S$75 for a 6-seater, per trip to one destination anywhere in Singapore. Sembawang Shipyard, Jurong Island and Changi Airfreight Centre add S$30, and Tuas Mega shipyard or PSA Tuas port adds S$75.
Can I get a private car at Changi without booking?
Yes. The Ground Transport Concierge counters in each arrival hall operate 24 hours, and taxis and ride-hailing cars are available around the clock. Pre-booked chauffeurs, including ours, have to be booked ahead: we need at least 3 days' notice.
Is a pre-booked private car cheaper than the concierge?
Usually not for a small group: the concierge's 4-seater and 6-seater fares are lower than our starting fare of S$100. Pre-booking is worth it when you want a chauffeur waiting in the arrival hall, a specific vehicle such as a 13-seater or S-Class, child seats, or the fare paid before you fly.
Where do private cars pick up at Changi?
At the Arrival Pick-up points: T1 Basement 1 doors 1 to 12, T2 Level 1 doors 2 to 7, T3 Basement 1 doors 1 to 5, and T4 Level 1 doors 1 to 3. At T4, ride-hailing cars use doors 4 to 8.
Do I pay the driver?
Not with us. Every booking is paid in full online in advance, and your booking is confirmed once payment succeeds. Drivers do not collect payment.
