Alphard vs maxicab for a family of six with luggage
Short answer: For six people with only cabin bags, an Alphard is the more comfortable choice. For six people with six large suitcases, book a 13-seater maxicab: the Alphard has six seats, but its boot cannot take six full-size cases when all seats are used. With us, a Changi arrival costs S$100 in an Alphard and S$100 in the 13-seater.

The rule of thumb
- Count people, including children and babies. Each needs a seat.
- Count large suitcases (check-in size) separately from cabin bags and strollers.
- Up to six people and up to four large cases: Alphard or V-Class.
- Five or six people with five or more large cases, or seven or more people: 13-seater.
Children and child seats
Child seats take up a seat and some space. If you need two or more, the 13-seater or a V-Class makes fitting them easier. Seats are available on request, at S$25 per seat; see child seats.
When two cars beat one
If your group has eight or more people plus luggage, or wants different drop-offs, two MPVs can be more comfortable than one minibus. Compare in the booking form, or see our group vehicle guide.
