Getting to Singapore's cruise terminals by car: MBCCS and HarbourFront
Short answer: Singapore has two cruise terminals: Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore (MBCCS) at 61 Marina Coastal Drive, Marina South, and Singapore Cruise Centre (HarbourFront) at 5 HarbourFront Avenue, which replaced the old HarbourFront Passenger Terminal in July 2026. A pre-booked private car drops you at the terminal kerbside, from S$70 per vehicle from a hotel or S$100 from Changi Airport, prepaid online at least 3 days ahead.
Singapore's cruise terminals at a glance
| Terminal | Address | Car drop-off | Nearest MRT |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore (MBCCS) | 61 Marina Coastal Drive, Marina South | Level 2 kerbside, next to the baggage acceptance area | Marina South Pier, about 650 m walk |
| Singapore Cruise Centre (HarbourFront) | 5 HarbourFront Avenue, Singapore 099549 | Drive-through drop-off zone for private hire cars and taxis | HarbourFront (North East and Circle lines), Exit B |
The two terminals are on different sides of the city: MBCCS is south of Marina Bay, and HarbourFront is in the south-west, opposite Sentosa. MBCCS says it is only open on days when a cruise ship is at berth. MBCCS also notes that locations inside and around the terminal can change for operational reasons, so follow the signs on the day.
LimoBooking.sg is an independent private chauffeur service. We are not affiliated with either terminal, any cruise line or the terminal operators, and our cars use the same public drop-off and pick-up points as other private hire cars. To book a car, see cruise terminal transfers.
Which terminal is your cruise?
Your cruise line’s booking documents name the departure terminal. Check them before you book a car, and put the terminal and ship name in the booking notes.
If an older booking, blog or map still shows HarbourFront Passenger Terminal or HarbourFront Centre, note that Singapore Cruise Centre says that terminal has relocated: its last day was 14 July 2026, and the new Singapore Cruise Centre (HarbourFront) is at 5 HarbourFront Avenue. Use the new address for drop-offs.
Embarkation day at Marina Bay Cruise Centre
According to MBCCS’s passenger guide, departing passengers are dropped off at the Level 2 kerbside and hand in their luggage at the Baggage Acceptance Area on the same level. From there you go to the Departure Lobby for security screening, then check-in, then the Immigration Hall.
- Your chauffeur unloads your bags at the kerb; baggage handling inside the terminal is run by the terminal and the cruise line.
- Keep passports, medicines and anything you need before your cabin is ready in your hand luggage.
- Work backwards from your cruise line’s boarding or check-in time, not the sailing time, and tell us that time when you book.
Leaving Marina Bay Cruise Centre after your cruise
MBCCS’s passenger guide says arriving passengers go down to the Arrival Hall after immigration to collect their bags and clear customs. Outside, the Ground Transportation Area has a metered taxi stand, a ride-hailing pick-up point and a pick-up area for coaches and mini-buses; Marina South Pier MRT is about 650 m away on foot.
For a pre-booked pickup, give us your ship name and expected walk-off time. Your chauffeur confirms the exact meeting point by WhatsApp on the day, because walk-off times depend on the ship and on your disembarkation group. Going straight to the airport? Book a departure transfer to Changi, from S$75 per vehicle.
Singapore Cruise Centre (HarbourFront)
Singapore Cruise Centre (HarbourFront) is the new cruise and regional ferry terminal at 5 HarbourFront Avenue. Singapore Cruise Centre says private hire vehicles and taxis may drop guests at the terminal’s drive-through drop-off zone.
- Seeing someone off by car? The operator says parking lots at the terminal are limited and lists HarbourFront Tower 1, Keppel Bay Carpark and Keppel Bay Tower as the nearest carparks. A drop-off by a chauffeured car avoids parking altogether.
- Coming by train? From HarbourFront MRT (North East and Circle lines), Exit B, a sheltered path and a pedestrian bridge to HarbourFront Tower 1 lead to the terminal, which the operator describes as a red terracotta building.
- Drive time: Singapore Cruise Centre gives 10 to 15 minutes by taxi from the city and 25 to 30 minutes from Changi Airport, in normal traffic.
See Singapore Cruise Centre’s HarbourFront terminal page before you travel.
How long is the drive to each terminal?
Times are for normal traffic and can be much longer at peak hours or when several ships turn around on the same day:
- HarbourFront: 10 to 15 minutes from the city and 25 to 30 minutes from Changi Airport, by the operator’s own figures.
- Marina Bay Cruise Centre: from most city hotels allow about 15 to 25 minutes, and from Changi Airport about 25 to 35 minutes (our planning estimate).
Add a margin for luggage drop and queues, and book the pickup so you reach the terminal well before your cruise line’s check-in time.
Flying in on sailing day: Changi to the ship
If you fly in on embarkation day, book a Changi Airport transfer with your flight number and the terminal name. The chauffeur tracks your flight, meets you in the arrival hall with a name sign and drives you straight to the cruise terminal, from S$100 per vehicle. The first 60 minutes after the actual landing time are free.
Allow time for immigration and baggage at Changi as well as the drive. Many passengers prefer to fly in the day before and stay a night in a hotel, which leaves a buffer if the flight is late; see hotel transfers for the hotel-to-terminal leg.
Which car for cruise luggage?
Cruise passengers usually carry more than airport passengers, so count large suitcases separately from cabin bags:
- Couple with two large cases: Mercedes E-Class, up to 3 passengers and 2 large bags.
- Family of four with four large cases: Toyota Alphard/Vellfire (up to 6 passengers, 4 large bags) or Mercedes V-Class (6 passengers, 5 large bags).
- Groups or lots of luggage: the 13-seater, up to 13 passengers and 10 large bags.
Fares are per vehicle, not per person: from S$70 for a hotel-to-terminal transfer and S$100 for a Changi pickup. Compare every car on fleet and rates.
Before and after the cruise
A common plan is a Changi pickup to a city hotel, a separate hotel-to-terminal transfer on sailing day, and the reverse at the end of the cruise. Booking each leg separately keeps the fares simple and lets you change one leg without affecting the others.
Got a few hours between leaving the ship and a late flight? Book a car with driver by the hour, from S$70 per hour (minimum 3 hours per date), so your bags stay in the car while you see the city, then go on to Changi.
