Limo and chauffeur service for the Singapore F1 Grand Prix

Short answer: For the Singapore Grand Prix weekend, book your chauffeur at least 3 days ahead and plan every pickup around the race-period road closures near the Marina Bay Street Circuit, using the drop-off points LTA publishes each year. A car with driver by the hour, from S$70 per hour, suits a race day; fixed-fare transfers suit Changi arrivals and hotel moves.

The race weekend at a glance

The Singapore Grand Prix is a night race on the Marina Bay Street Circuit, a 4.927 km street track in the Marina Centre and Padang area. It was the first night race in Formula 1 history when it started in 2008.

  • Next race: Formula 1’s official 2027 calendar lists the Singapore Grand Prix for 8 to 10 October 2027. Session times are published later, so check formula1.com and singaporegp.sg before you plan pickup times.
  • Where it affects you: the circuit runs on public roads around the Padang, the Esplanade, Marina Bay and the Singapore Flyer, so hotels, offices and malls nearby are inside or next to the closure area.
  • We are independent: LimoBooking.sg is a private chauffeur service. We are not affiliated with Formula 1, the race organiser or any ticket seller, and we cannot get you into restricted zones.

Road closures around the circuit

Roads around the circuit close for several days before and after the race so the track, barriers and grandstands can be set up and removed. The exact roads, dates and opening hours are announced by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) a few weeks before each race, so always use that year’s official notice. As an example, for the 2026 race (9 to 11 October) LTA announced:

  • closures in the Marina Centre and Padang area from 12.01am on 7 October to 5.30am on 13 October 2026, with some corridors reopened during weekday peak hours;
  • a single access lane along Raffles Boulevard into Marina Centre at set times, which taxis could use at all times except during track activity;
  • private hire cars could only pick up and drop off at designated points during the closure period;
  • car parks at the Singapore Flyer, Esplanade, Singapore Recreation Club, Singapore Cricket Club and Empress Place were closed, while Suntec City, Marina Square and Millenia Walk stayed open;
  • public transport was strongly encouraged, with extended train hours on race days.

Each year LTA publishes a Road Access and Public Transport Guide and an interactive map on OneMotoring showing the closed roads, taxi points, hotel driveways and private hire pick-up and drop-off points. We plan your route with that map, and you can check it yourself on OneMotoring.

Planning your drop-off and pickup

  • Tell us your gate or zone and your hotel in the booking notes. Your chauffeur drops you at the nearest designated private hire point or hotel driveway that is open at that time, and you walk the last part to your gate.
  • Allow extra time. Diversions and crowds make short trips around Marina Bay slower than usual during race weekend, especially just before sessions start.
  • Agree the pickup point before you go in. After the last session and any post-race concert, thousands of people leave at the same time. A designated point a short walk away from your exit is usually quicker to reach than the nearest gate.
  • Keep your phone charged. Your chauffeur contacts you by phone or WhatsApp, and you can message us if your plans change on the night.
  • Staying inside the closure area? Hotels there stay reachable through the routes LTA keeps open, but the way in may be longer than normal. We check the access timings for your hotel when we plan the trip.

Why pre-booking matters on race weekend

Race weekend brings visitors, corporate guests and hospitality events to the same few streets on the same evenings. Booking ahead means:

  • your car, vehicle size and chauffeur are arranged before you arrive, with no queue at a taxi stand after the race;
  • the fare is fixed and paid online before the day, so there is nothing to settle when you get out of the car;
  • we can plan the route and drop-off points around that year’s closures in advance.

We need at least 3 days’ notice for every booking, and we do not take same-day bookings, so book as soon as your race plans are fixed.

Hourly car with driver or point-to-point transfers?

Race weekend: which booking fits your plan
Your planBest bookingFrom
Lunch, shopping or meetings, then the circuit, with the same car all afternoon and eveningCar with driver by the hourS$70 per hour, minimum 3 consecutive hours per date
Friday, Saturday and Sunday, each with different hoursHourly hire with one date per race day in the same bookingRate x hours for each date

Landing at Changi for the raceChangi Airport transferS$100 per vehicle
Flying home after the raceDeparture transfer to ChangiS$75 per vehicle

On hourly hire the time runs from your pickup until your final drop-off, and stops and waiting within those hours are included. If you will spend most of the evening inside the circuit, two transfers (there and back) usually cost less than keeping a car for the whole time. If you want the car to take you to dinner before the race and wait for you between stops, hourly hire is simpler. See hourly limo hire: what to know for how the hours are counted.

Arriving at Changi for the race

If you fly in for the race, your chauffeur tracks your flight and meets you in the arrival hall with a name sign; the first 60 minutes after the actual landing time are free. Choose the car by passengers and luggage on our airport limo in Singapore page, or book a straight Changi Airport transfer to your hotel.

Staying at Marina Bay Sands or nearby? See Marina Bay Sands transfers. Moving hotels during your stay is a hotel transfer. For the trip home, roads around the circuit reopen in stages after the race, so leave extra time; see how early to leave for Changi.
